A brand new year is here, and with it comes fresh beginnings, exciting plans, and for many of you… a brand new engagement. If you’ve recently said yes, congratulations! I'd love to wish all of my previous and future couples a very Happy New Year from Nick Boy Wedding Video.
Why Wedding Video Matters
Your wedding day will go by faster than you expect. A wedding film allows you to relive the moments you might miss — the nerves before the ceremony, your vows, the speeches, and the energy of the first dance. It’s more than just a video; it’s a way to preserve memories and emotions forever.
Planning a wedding comes with a long to-do list, so booking your wedding video should be as easy as possible. At Nick Boy Wedding Video, I’ve designed the booking process to be clear, simple, and completely stress-free from start to finish.

Securing your wedding date couldn’t be easier. Once you’ve decided that I’m the right fit for your day, all that’s required is a £100 deposit to officially reserve your date in my diary.
Clear & Straightforward Admin
I believe admin should stay in the background so you can focus on enjoying your wedding planning. The paperwork is minimal and handled quickly, giving you complete peace of mind that everything is in place.

To capture all of that as a video you’ll treasure for a lifetime.

When it comes to wedding planning, there’s a lot to be considered and many, many jobs to tick off. There’s no doubt it can be just as daunting as it is exciting! Here’s my top ten tips to help you plan your perfect wedding celebration…
1. Film your wedding:
Ok, I’m getting this one in early, no surprise! I’m definitely biased, but I’d highly recommend hiring a videographer to cover your big day. I’d be delighted to discuss your plans and answer any questions you may have. 2. Start planning early and write everything down:
Securing your ideal venue, main vendors and wedding date is the key to a smooth planning journey. Using a wedding planning app or checklist helps keep you on-track with deadlines and appointments.
3. Set your budget:
Knowing how much you have to spend on each part of your wedding day will really help, especially in the early days of planning. Allocating funds to the venue, catering, photography, videography and entertainment as early as possible will help when planning.
4. Choose the right venue:
The perfect venue sets the mood you want for your wedding day. Consider things like location, size, style, accommodation and facilities when browsing. Remember the most important thing is to pick somewhere you both love!

5. Select your vendors carefully:
Meeting with potential suppliers in advance will help you make sure that you’ll get on well with them during the process and on the day. Read their reviews, ask for recommendations and make sure that their portfolio matches your plans.
6. Personalise your day:
There’s a lot of choices to be made during the wedding planning process and plenty of opportunities to bring your personalities and love story into every aspect of your wedding, from the ceremony readings and wedding vows to the decorations, music, and menu. Consider incorporating meaningful traditions, cultural elements, or DIY touches to make your wedding day uniquely yours. 7. Get your friends and family involved:
Ask for help when you need it, people will be happy to help and be involved (but remember that you're still in charge!) or consider hiring a wedding planner if you’d really rather take the pressure off!
8. Prepare for the unexpected:
Everything can and does happen on a wedding day, from a forgotten bouquet to a marquee washing away to a ring going missing. Embracing everything that may happen is probably the best philosophy! An emergency kit can help prepare for some smaller issues too – things like safety pins, stain remover, paracetamol, and a sewing kit might just save the day.

9. Drink water:
A wedding day is long, intense and awesome – it’s very easy to go from champagne to wine to shots without much in-between – but of course, it’s always good to pace yourself and stay hydrated. 10. Take time to enjoy the moment:
You’ve done it! You’ve planned and put together a brilliant wedding day, now is the time to take it all in together, take a deep breath and admire all of your hard work!
Hopefully these wedding planning tips will be useful as you plan your wedding day. I’d be delighted to discuss your wedding video requirements and answer any questions. Good luck and enjoy the planning journey!

Well, here we are again, I can't believe how quickly this year has gone by! I had a great summer peak-season, filming for lots of wonderful couples, covering many fantastic wedding days across Shropshire, the West Midlands and beyond.
There's still some weddings left in the diary with my filming year coming to an end after Christmas this year. Until then there's lots of wedding videos rolling off the edit-production line and winging their way to my couples to enjoy with their family and friends. If you're in the process of planning your wedding I'd be delighted to discuss your plans. Whatever stage you've reached in the journey if you have any questions please let me know. I'm going to have lots and lots of wonderful wedding days to share on here, and on my Instagram and Facebook pages soon, in the meantime here's a highlights video for the lovely Steph and Lewis from Stockton House earlier this summer.
Well, I can't quite believe we're already past the halfway point of the year! It's been a brilliant wedding season so far, I've been having lots of fun filming for many happy couples and working with some excellent wedding suppliers.
So far this year has seen me filming all over Shropshire, Herefordshire and Staffordshire with my longest trip so far down to Amersham for the lovely Charlotte and Sarah...
If you're currently in the planning stages and have any questions about wedding videography and what it involves, please feel free to get in touch - I'd be delighted to chat about your day. Meanwhile peak-season continues at full steam, I'm pretty much either constantly at a wedding or in a dark edit suite at this time of year - but I wouldn't change a minute of it!
